Chelsea Twining - Trainer

Chelsea brings over 20 years of equine experience to Sienna Stables with a variety of disciplines with one all-encompassing objective: to make riding the most enjoyable for both the horse and rider. She focuses on building an enduring bond of trust and respect so the equine team can reach their fullest potential. Chelsea has spent the majority of her equestrian career taking on challenging horses with patience and respect of every horse's natural strengths and abilities.
Chelsea has started her career training Arabians, competing and training at a National level since her early teens. When her family moved to Texas in 2006, she then began her career at Rebecca Creek Farms with the most talented, FEI judge and trainer, Douglas Christensen. After her experience with Rebecca Creek, she had the incredible opportunity to study under the incredible eventing author and trainer Mary Rose at Crestones Arabians.
While studying her Bachelors at the University of Texas at Austin, Chelsea took on any training challenge that she could. She sees the potential, ability, and value in every horse. While in Dallas, Chelsea studied under Maggie Kitts, learning the art of eventing and, more specifically, how to rehab and retrain off the track thoroughbred horses. Soon, Chelsea was competing on her rescue Thoroughbred Sox, who now resides at Sienna Stables. For years, Chelsea trained part time but since starting a family in Houston, she has decided to make her passion for teaching and riding her full time commitment at Sienna Stables. She hopes her passion and heart for horses shines through in her care and commitment to her students."
